Jim Morrison (singer of the Doors...dead for quite awhile) is likely to be pardoned shortly for a charge of indecent exposure at a concert...nice to see the government worrying about pressing issues...it's not like happened 40 years ago or that Jim has been dead for 39 or anything...

School bake sales are in trouble with a bill that gives the government power to limit bake sales at school events. Predictably there is an uproar (big shock)
Here's the thing. We are fat and getting fatter, does it maybe not make sense to try and stop getting so fat? It's all well and good to cry "personal freedom!" but the reality is that you can't sell guns at a school function, and being fat kills more people in the US than guns do.
I am not big on government but it's clear that the private sector keeps making everything as fattening as possible and maybe, just maybe, reducing the amount of shit eaten at school is a good step towards not being the fattest nation on earth anymore.
