Car alarms

I live on the 24th floor...I just spend the last half hour listening to an endless car alarm.

I want to know what the point is? Like, if you own that car and are so far away/not in a position to respond when the damn alarm goes of for a HALF HOUR! what good does it do you? Do you really think I give a shit about your car?

When was the last time you heard a car alarm go off and ran out to find out where it was coming from? Oh right, Never!

I really think car alarms should be made illegal. What do they accomplish other than annoy people? Nobody responds because nobody cares and the owner is too far away to do anything about it anyway.
